About ARAG
Generalist firms lack the sector depth. Boutiques lack the scope. ARAG was built to close that gap.
Why ARAG
Established in 2022, ARAG was founded to bridge the gap between generalist firms that lack sector depth and boutiques that lack scope. Law firms can't integrate financial and tax advisory. Banks are transaction-only. ARAG was built to close that gap.
We staff every mandate with a partner-led team — delivering Big 4 rigour with the focus of a dedicated resource advisory firm operating across Canada, Africa, and Latin America.

President, Atlas Resource & Advisory Group
Patricia Bingoto is a seasoned legal professional with many years of experience in the mining and environmental sectors in the Democratic Republic of Congo. She holds degrees from the Protestant University of the Congo (UPC), based in Kinshasa, and the University of Ottawa, combining deep knowledge of African regulatory frameworks with a rigorous understanding of Canadian and international legal standards.
Her expertise and academic background make her a recognized specialist in the African energy sector. Patricia has built a distinguished reputation as a leading voice in Africa's energy transition, advising governments, multinational corporations, and institutional investors on the legal and strategic dimensions of resource development across the continent. She brings particular insight into the governance of mining concessions, environmental compliance for extractive projects, and the regulatory architecture shaping energy policy in Central and West Africa.
Under Patricia's leadership, ARAG has positioned itself at the forefront of advisory services for energy and natural resource projects in Africa. Her vision is rooted in the belief that sustainable resource development requires integrated expertise spanning legal, financial, environmental, and regulatory disciplines — an approach that has made ARAG a trusted partner for stakeholders navigating the complexities of the African energy landscape.
