Patricia Baindo Bingoto leads ARAG’s legal, regulatory and governance practice, advising governments, multinational corporations, investors, financial institutions and mining companies on complex matters across Africa, with a particular focus on the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Her practice spans mining law, environmental law, natural resource governance, regulatory compliance, corporate law and ESG advisory. Working with multidisciplinary teams, she assists domestic and international investors with legal due diligence, transaction structuring, acquisition and divestiture strategies, joint venture negotiations, regulatory approvals and post-transaction integration. Her objective is to keep transactions legally sound, commercially efficient and aligned with each jurisdiction’s fiscal and regulatory framework.
Her strategic counsel extends to ESG compliance, environmental permitting, community engagement, risk management and regulatory governance. The objective is practical: legal frameworks that support responsible operations, meet national requirements and reflect internationally recognized best practices.
Under her leadership, ARAG provides integrated legal and strategic advisory services designed to foster responsible investment, legal certainty, regulatory excellence and sustainable economic development throughout Africa’s mining sector.
